The Head and LCC?

According the the LSJ:  The theater's interim director, George Orban, and theater board member Jack Davis spoke in support of the agreement Monday. Orban envisions BoarsHead Theater becoming more engaged with the Lansing community through a partnership with the college. He said there would be increased opportunities to put on theater performances that reflect Lansing's diverse community and that its education and outreach efforts would be increased.   "I really hope the community supports what we're doing and recognizes the powerful opportunities of this partnership," Orban said.  Davis also urged the trustees to give approval to the partnership.  "The collaboration will add so much to an excellent theater scene in the Lansing area," he said.
Plan details
A proposed partnership between BoarsHead Theater and Lansing Community College would keep the struggling theater alive while giving LCC students opportunities to work with a professional theater:
• LCC would contribute $86,000 annually to the partnership, in the form of labor, materials, technical support and faculty involvement.
• LCC would spend an additional $15,000 in the first year to acquire some BoarsHead assets.
• BoarsHead would contribute an additional $213,000 annually to pay for an executive director, artistic director, actors, travel, housing and other expenses.
• BoarsHead Theater would remain an independent nonprofit existing apart from LCC.
• No previous BoarsHead executive directors or artistic directors will be reappointed.
• Discussion of the proposal will be taken up during the LCC Board of Trustees meeting on May 17
